Maison Rouge is a place where good times and great memories are made. Listen to the crickets sing from this inviting lakefront chalet offering 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The main level has a well equipped galley kitchen, dining and living area, and open decks overlooking the peaceful side of Mirror Lake. The living area has a Lannon stone fireplace (not available for use until late Fall 2016), Flat screen TV and VHS/DVD player. There are two bedrooms and one bath on the main level- the Mst. BR has a King bed and the guest BR has a Queen bed. The upper level has two bedrooms with one full bath in between. Each upper level bedroom has two twins and access to a small balcony-one overlooks Cullasaja Drive, and the other overlooks the lake. The lower level is a walk out basement level that has the laundry area, seating/sleeping area with books and games. There’s a nice grassy lakeside area- great for play or lawn games, and there’s a flat bottomed boat available as well. There’s a gas grill, Adirondack style chairs and a place for outside dining.
You’re going to love the yesteryear styling Maison Rouge mixed with all the modern day conveniences.

Charming, uiet mountain retreat
This was a our third trip to Highlands, NC and our first trip to Maison Rouge. We were thoroughly impressed by all on offer at this property. We we less than a mile from downtown, but on Mirror Lake on a quiet road, we felt so remote! It was a well maintained property and had such generous space for families or groups of friends to stay. Myself and my cousin enjoyed taking the flat-bottom boat out on the lake for a leisure paddle. Felt it was a great value and would prioritize this property in planning a return trip. July 2018
