Forget all your day to day worries in this 3 bedroom, 2 bath secluded log cabin located about 3 miles from town. Even though this cabin is secluded, it’s not remote. It’s bordered by unspoiled properties, some of which are protected in perpetuity.



The main level offers the living area with wood burning fireplace, open kitchen area, covered front porch, small screened entry porch, Mst. BR with King bed, one bath, mud room, and back open deck area. The upper level has a full bath in between two bedrooms- one is a large BR with Queen bed and TV (for DVD use), and the other is an open loft bedroom with a queen bed. The loft looks over into the living area which has a queen sleep sofa.



The grounds are kept natural and are full of native wild flowers, ferns, rhododendrons and mountain laurel. There are two hammocks here, a Chimenea, fire pit- great place for story telling and making S’mores, and a corn hole game as well. This cabin is air conditioned and has satellite TV and DVD player. For the grill masters, there’s a Green Egg grill to cook up your masterpiece steak or fresh caught mountain trout.



WiFi is included, but this is still a great spot to disconnect, relax, unwind and enjoy the mountains.



This home has a three- night minimum, except for HOLIDAYS AND SOME LOCAL EVENTS.

The rental app you are using may allow you to make two or three-night rentals during these times, but that doesn't mean the reservation will be honored.

All renters, no matter where they start will sign a vacation rental lease. It doesn't matter if you have already read, or agreed to any other kind of lease through the third party site (like VRBO). All vacation rental leases adhere to the NC Vacation Rental Agreement Act. When you sign the lease, which is between you (as renter) and Chambers Realty & Vacation Rentals (as Landlord on behalf of the property owner), you are agreeing to our terms. You will not be charge by us until you have seen the lease. If you have any questions about our policies or our lease you need to contact us, not the third party site (like VRBO). It is our full intent to retain any renters gained by using third party sites (like VRBO) for future rentals, and possibly as future home owners as well. Great rental

We had a great time in the beautiful Highlands area. The house is down a gravel path off the road but relatively easy to navigate. Very well stocked except for potato peeler and grill could have been cleaner and some personal items removed to make room for guests. Otherwise it’s a wonderfully rustic retreat yet close to town and hiking. Really cool cabin with plenty of room for 6-8. We found the kitchen updated and clean!

Hideaway Cabin

The Hideaway cabin is in a secluded area but close to town. It was clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay there again. We were looking for a pet friendly rental and this was perfect.
