Camp Highlands is a destination. With the charm of a mountain lodge, this 4 bedroom, 3 ½ bath house is conveniently located on the Atlanta side of Highlands and is just 5 minutes from town. At the center of the main living space is a majestic stone fireplace and large glass windows allowing views of the expansive yard.



The open floor plan and large wrap around deck is perfect for outdoor entertaining and enjoying family time. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted with a sense of belonging in this mountain home. The lower level has a gathering room with a wood burning stove and Ping Pong table and it opens up to the outside fenced in back yard, which is also easily accessible to the upstairs deck. The property is large and mostly flat and is a great walking area. Croquet, corn hole and the fire pit areas are easily accessible and ready for your family to make mountain memories. The property is bordered by a pond and is a great spot for relaxing or maybe a canoe ride.



There are three bedrooms, 2.5 baths on the main level. Downstairs has one bedroom and a full bath.

When you book your reservation through VRBO/Homeaway, the Property Manager handling this property will be notified by VRBO/Homeaway that a reservation has been made.

You will be asked to enter your credit card information, but you will not be charged for your reservation at this time. You WILL be charged a nominal service fee by VRBO/Homeaway. The fee is between you and VRBO/Homeaway; the property manager has nothing to do with the fee.

After the property manager has been notified of your reservation, you can rest assured this property is being held for you. You are booked.

The property manager will email you a lease. The lease will need to be reviewed, signed and returned to the property manager. If you haven’t received a lease within 72 hours it could be because the property manager/rental office is closed. (Operating hours are Mon-Fri 10-4) OR you may need to check your SPAM folder. We hosted a dinner at the Highlands Food and Wine Festival. Camp Highlands was a terrific setting for our chefs to unwind and get creative. The fireplace is the heart of this home and something we will never forget.

A true getaway

We had a wonderful time! The house was great and really brought nature inside with the massive floor to ceiling windows in the main living space. It is tucked just enough away to make you feel like a get away but close enough to town for easy access to stores and restaurants. The house had everything we needed!

Arsenault review of Camp Highlands

This was a perfect rental for our annual Highlands reunion with our daughters, our son-in-law, and our two grandchildren, a boy of 7 and a girl of 4.
The house was sparkling clean and very well equipped. Although there were some dead areas for wireless, the 3 adults who had to do computer work for part of our stay managed well. It was a paradise for the children, with lots of games, including croquet, ping pong, and corn hole. They were enchanted with the deer family that came through the huge yard every afternoon and assorted rabbits and hawks, and enjoyed marshmallow roasts after sunset. The owners generously shared tours of their classic cars and were very attentive when an unexpected storm came through that blocked our road and brought over battery powered lamps and flashlights for us to use when the power went out for several hours. The only problems we experienced were that the 4-year old fell down several steps to the basement. Although she was unhurt except for a nasty bruise, carpet on the steep staircase would be a good improvement. Nonetheless we would love to return and enjoy Camp Highlands next summer!

I love this place so much! My favorite part about it is the backyard. I love the stone staircase that leads to the lovely yard. I also love the pond. The first evening we were here we saw baby ducks in it. It makes me just want to have a picnic, but my most favorite part is the secret bridge. Thanks for showing us your cars.

Our second time staying in Camp Highlands, and we loved it just the same! Everyone’s favorite part is still the backyard. We love seeing all of God’s beautiful creation! Camp Highlander

We spent a wonderful winter weekend at Camp Highlander. The home was warm with a great fireplace and good views of the snow as it fell. The home is furnished with everything needed. Beds were great, comfortable and warm. Kitchen was fully furnished and tv worked great, so we were able to enjoy the Super Bowl. Will definitely come back for another visit.

Fantastic mountain house

This camp house is located about 2 miles from downtown Highlands near Glen Falls. It is perfect for a family vacation with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a huge, circular open living space surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. The living area includes a living room, dining room, game area and kitchen with a beautiful, circular, woodburning fireplace. Downstairs, there's a game room and another fireplace. The owners have included everything you need, from firewood for the indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit, to a fully-stocked kitchen. The scenery is beautiful, with a pond out back and an old orchard next door. On our first morning, we were visited by a herd of deer who slept in the field next door, and many species of ducks. I just can't express how much we enjoyed our time here, and we'll definitely be back.

This vacation was truly an experience of a lifetime. Highlands is spectacular with lots of breath-taking views. These “Cajuns” certainly enjoyed the mountains, waterfalls and this great house. One Spectacular \"Camp\"

Camp Highlands is a wonderful home in a most relaxing setting. It is of the finest construction and design with a most relaxing atmosphere. A very spacious, clean and exceptionally comfortable retreat. The owners have gone to great length to provide and furnish all of the many items making a stay even that much more pleasant! With all conveniences provided from ample kitchen equipment to games and even a trout pond! Our family is already looking forward to out 2023 stay!
