Moss Hill Cottage is a two bedroom/ two bath mountain styled cottage, tucked away on a quiet little lane a little over 3 miles from Main Street Highlands. All on one easy level, you will find a covered entry porch which spans the length of the home and offers comfortable seating looking out into a tall pine forest. Kitchen is partially open to the dining and living areas. Dining area seats 6 comfortably. The living area has a stone faced fireplace which has been converted for gas logs- beautiful and EASY, flat screen TV and access to the covered porch. The Mst. BR has a king bed, TV and offers a separate reading/office area between the sleeping area and the Mst bathroom. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, TV, and shares the hallway bath.



A small backyard area is where you will find the charcoal grill and fire pit tower and a couple of chairs to relax. (The back yard area is accessible from the parking area or from the kitchen area). The laundry closet is located beside the dining area.



Pets MAY be allowed, but only at owner’s discretion and with a $150.00 non refundable pet fee. NO smoking inside.



If you’re looking for a nice weekend getaway, or a place to spend a week or two- consider Moss Hill Cottage.Moss Hill also makes a great overflow property for our George's Landing (5BR/3bath) located on the same road.



This home has a two- night minimum, except for HOLIDAYS AND SOME LOCAL EVENTS, which may be a one-week minimum.

The rental app you are using may allow you to make two or three-night rentals during these times, but that doesn't mean the reservation will be honored.

All renters, no matter where they start will sign a vacation rental lease. It doesn't matter if you have already read, or agreed to any other kind of lease through the third party site (like VRBO). All vacation rental leases adhere to the NC Vacation Rental Agreement Act. When you sign the lease, which is between you (as renter) and Chambers Realty & Vacation Rentals (as Landlord on behalf of the property owner), you are agreeing to our terms. You will not be charge by us until you have seen the lease. If you have any questions about our policies or our lease you need to contact us, not the third party site (like VRBO). It is our full intent to retain any renters gained by using third party sites (like VRBO) for future rentals, and possibly as future home owners as well. Great Thanksgiving Week

We stayed at Moss hill this summer for a few weeks and loved it. My parents rented it for the week of Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. The weather was cold but we enjoyed it. We took advantage of all the things the town of Highlands has during Thanksgiving-The Community dinner, The Tree Lighting, Ice skating and of course the great shopping the town provides, plus the great restaurants. This home is easy to get to and has all the amenities one would need. It is very clean and well taken care of.

Great cottage

The Moss Hill cottage had everything we needed and then more. It is nicely furnished and has plenty of amenities. It is a very clean house and things are very organized. IT had plenty of towels and be sheets. We used the Weber grill many times to grill out. The porch is great to go out in the mornings and have breakfast. A very pretty overlook into the yard and a meadow across the street. we were able to take a walk and not worry about traffic. The neighborhood is very quiet as well.

Home was in an excellent location and in great condition. It was fully outfitted so we didn't need to ring anything along. We enjoyed the huge front porch. Responsive property manage as well.
